6. Is the timing of the product offer towards the beginning or the end of its life cycle?
The ONE group company is 5 years old. The products are beautiful, pure and certified organic. While the organic movement has been going on for years now, for me, this is the beginning of really looking at how I live my life.
While growing up in the 70’s, much of my learning was in the outside world. Now that I have lived and traveled, I see the need to continue to support the earth in all ways. It has been important for me, and my family, to use skin care and health care products that support the greater environment and our limited resources.
The research that has gone into creating the miessence products is fresh and the sustainablity for the earth is at the forefront of the company’s work.
The Organic Movement
The organic movement began at the same time as industrialised agriculture. It evolved through the ’50s and ’60s with the launch of such books as ” Silent Spring” by Rachel Carson, which exposed the toxic effects of pesticides through what is now termed bio-magnification; a process whereby synthetic chemicals used in agriculture magnify (increase in concentration) through the food-chain. During the ’70s, the development of the organic market was stimulated by growing consumer interest in health and nutrition, as well as the increasing importance of preserving the natural environment.
