Why I Became an Independent Rep with ONE Group #9

Question number 9 in my series: Why I Became and Independent Rep with ONE Group; my journey through the 16 Point Business Evaluation Checklist

9. Can consumers simply switch brands to use the products so that they don’t have to start spending extra dollars? (i.e. are these type of products already in common use and part of people’s normal spending patterns?)

After finding the ONE Group products, I began to take a look around my house at the products I was currently using and what could be replaced with miessence/mivitality/mienviron.

The first product I purchased was the Rejuvenating Moisturizer.  This was actually a new product for me, as I had not been using a moisturizer regularly, because of the synthetic preservatives found in other over the counter products. 

Next, I switched shampoos, conditioner, bodywash, soap (hand/bar), deodorant and body lotions.  To use miessence, and know that our skin would now be free of toxic chemicals was pure joy for me and my family!

When looking at the cost, it was worth it to me to re-arrange our budget to purchase the products from ONE Group.  Yes, while it may appear that there are other brands that are less expensive monetarily, it is important to me and my family to know for certain that the products we put on our skin are pure.  We have found that the costs do even out while the benefits far out weigh the cost.

My family now has a better understanding of the chemicals found in over the counter skin care products.  We have continued to learn together about skin care and the foods we eat.  ONE Group has supported our growth in understanding the environment and the role of using our earth’s resources wisely and with greater care.

8. Are the products such that they require repeat purchasing? (i.e. not restricted to just a once-off purchase?)

What I truly love about the ONE Group opportunity is the ability choose.  You may become a preferred customer or an Independent Representative.  Each of these possibilities has its own purchasing choices.

6. Is the timing of the product offer towards the beginning or the end of its life cycle?

The ONE group company is 5 years old.  The products are beautiful, pure and certified organic.  While the organic movement has been going on for years now, for me, this is the beginning of really looking at how I live my life. 

While growing up in the 70’s, much of my learning was in the outside world.  Now that I have lived and traveled, I see the need to continue to support the earth in all ways.  It has been important for me, and my family, to use skin care and health care products that support the greater environment and our limited resources.

The research that has gone into creating the miessence products is fresh and the sustainablity for the earth is at the forefront of the company’s work.

The Organic Movement

The organic movement began at the same time as industrialised agriculture. 5. Are the products in a market/industry that is huge and expanding?

Going green is everywhere!  So, yes…miessence certified organics and the ONE Group products are on the cutting edge of this ever growing mindset for a sustainable world.

    4. Are the products able to be sold in retail outlets?
    (Retail is only available in certain countries.)

      ONEgroup also has a strategy for their Representatives to promote the miessence® products in stalls at markets and expo’s and also in Retail outlets. There is a process for assigning retail outlets before they are approached(Please note:conditions apply in regard to Retail so please speak to your Sponsor for more details). Representatives are free approach Markets and Expos however please be courteous and respectful when other ONEgroup Independent Representatives are already attending the event. Exclusivity at an event will need to be arranged with the Market or Expo organiser. Cost: Sample products and testers to use, as well as travel costs. Stalls and expos may have costs for hiring space.

     Representative Quick Check List 

    • Open to new retail outlets in Australia, New Zealand and the USA only

    • Hold the rank of Manager status or higher by volume

    • Attainment of the Manager rank from signing up 3 Fast Start Representatives during your first month does not qualify you for participation.

    • The retail outlet must have a baby, health or beauty focus

    • Please note that ONEgroup reserves the right to deny retail status, upon evaluation.

    • Must have a Retail Outlet Allocation request approved by ONEgroup:

    You must request to have a retail outlet allocated to you prior to initial contact by:

    1. Sending an allocation request to retail@mionegroup.com. Include representative name, username, store name, complete address and store contact name.

    2. ONEgroup will assess the application and e-mail response to requesting representative within 3 business days.

    3. Upon notification of approved allocation, representative may contact the store and seek the completion of the wholesale application form and first order. 

    This is the basic outline for retailing with ONE Group.  It is a strategy that can be very worthwhile to those reps interested in bringing the Mother and Baby Care products to a larger audience.

    Why I Became an Independent Rep with ONE Group #3

       

    Question number 3 in my series: Why I Became and Independent Rep with ONE Group; my journey through the 16 Point Business Evaluation Checklist

    3. Are the products something that you would tell others about?

    Absolutely!  I love telling people about the miessence products.

    My continued work is answering the next question; Who do I tell? (and) How do I tell them?

    1.  Friends and family: When telling my friends and family, I was so excitited at first that I was a bit overzealous.  Some friends were interested.  Some family members thought my new ONE Group business was interesting.  But mostly what I sensed was…thanks, but no thanks.

    2.  I began to look more closely at the ONE Group marketing strategies.  I decided to share the miessence products using the 100 newspaper strategy and advertising.  With the newspaper strategy, I found that it was time consuming for me and I was just not comfortable face-to-face with business owners. 

    The advertising route proved to be much more productive.  I wrote a small classified ad and put it (free, or very inexpensively) into health magazines and local papers.  This proved to be the best way for me to connect with others.  Inexpensive, and the reader was able to make their own choice whether or not to purchase ONE Group products.  I now had reps joining my ONE Group team.

    3.  My next step was to begin to develop an on-line ONE Group presence.  I begin to post on my first blog ,( organicsyes ) products that I loved and wanted to share with my blog contacts.  I began to see that there were others out there interested in purchasing miessence produts and becoming reps.  This method continues to be the direction on which I choose to focus my strategies with my ONE Group biz.

    4. Small gatherings:  I branched out rececntly and connected again with friends and family.  While the gathering was fun and I made connections and sold products, I realized that this is a strategy that just does not suit me.

    Conclusion:

    I have shared samples, run contests on my blogs, participate in expos, and sent miessence products to others for review

    The method that continues to work for me is to present ONE Group certified organic products on-line.  I enjoy connecting with others through mutual interests in organic skin care, educating, and bringing in people to find what they are already looking for in organic skin care through the world of the internet and social networking.

      16 Point Business Evaluation Checklist

    Here is #2 in the series “Why I Became an Independent Rep with ONE Group“.

    2. Would you buy these products even if there was no business opportunity attached to it?

    A most resounding YES!  I found the miessence products while searching for chemical free skin care. 

    I was up late on-line and came across ONE Group.  After taking a look at the then very simple website, I placed an order for the rejuvenating moisturizer.  I had spent years just using water to wash my face, as the chemicals and preservatives in over the counter products really caused my skin trouble.  But as I was getting older, I really needed to find a moisturizer. 

    When the miessence rejuvenating moisturizer arrived I was so delighted by the smell and the joy of having a chemical free moisturizer, I decided to join as an Independent Rep.  So a placed a larger order and started on my journey.

    The products are what keep me going as an Independent Rep.  I began to learn the ins and outs of network marketing

    I must state here that I was leary of mlm’s.  I did not want to push products onto others.  I still struggle with the word “sell”.  I wanted to focus my business on education and sharing these wonderful products.  But I knew that over the years I have always been a skeptic.  So I began to ask a lot of questions of myself.  Would this business model work for me?

    I continue to enjoy the beauty of the miessence products.  My family benefits from a chemical free household. Below are our family favorites.  We will continue to use products from ONE Group for our lifetime, regardless of  my rep status. 

    So the answer is YES.  I would buy these products even if there were no opportunity available.

    16 Point Business Evaluation Checklist

    Each day, for the next 16 days, I will answer a question from the checklist above here on my blog, miorganicsyes.

    I have decided to dedicate more time to this blog, as the benefits of the miessence products have been a wonderful influence on my life.  Also, ONE Group stands for organic integrity and I support that fully.

    Learning  how an mlm works and fits into my life continues to be my challenge.  So, with these thoughts in mind, I will parse out what this business means to me.   Join me in the journey.

    Why I Became an Independent Rep for ONE Group: A Journey through a sustainable, multi-channel, organic business

    Question 1 from the 16 Point Business Evaluation Checklist

    1. Do the products represent good value to the end consumer? In other words is it a “real” product that solves real problems for real people?

    In answering this first question, I took a good look at the products.  The miessence line is certified organic to food standards.  The ingredients are pure and chemical free.  This was just what I was hoping to find 4 years ago when I began this journey.

    Solving the problem…miessence is safe to use for my whole family.  I had been looking for skin care products with NO chemicals and I found them.  I tried them and have not gone back since.

    So, the answer to this question for me is YES.  I was looking for certified organic skin care products and found them in miessence.  Real products that solved a real problem for me; the search for chemical free skin and body care products.
